A state certified caregiver who looks after a child when the biological parents are unwilling, unable, or unfit to take care of the child.
What steps do you need to take to qualify to be considered to be a foster parent?
1) Attend an orientation on fostering and adoption
2)Complete 20-30 hours of foster parent training
3)Have a child abuse and criminal background check
4) Participate in a home inspection
5)Participate in a home study to review your readiness for fostering
